From the rise of supermodels and high fashion, to the style icons seen on American TV, 90’s fashion was all about effortlessly chic looks.
Supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Kate Moss inspired a more minimalist and effortless approach to fashion. Slip dresses, oversized tailoring and simple accessories became key trends across the decade – styles we think form the basis of the perfect city chic wardrobe!
Look 1: The Slip Dress
A firm favourite of 90s supermodels and movie stars alike, the slip dress is a 90s staple we are still loving now.
For an effortlessly chic evening look, we’ve added simple black heels, an adorable black bag and gold jewellery. And of course, no 90’s look would be complete without some signature hair clips.
The best part? The slip dress is a versatile staple that can look just as cool and chic in the daytime! Layer the dress with a turtleneck jumper and add some chunky black boots for a daytime look with a chic edge.

Look 2: The Utility Trousers
Who said fashion couldn’t be practical too? The utility trouser or cargo pant was a massive trend in the 90s. Much like the slip dress, the utility trousers are a versatile piece that will elevate any daytime look.
For our 90’s look, we paired these simple yet stylish Kotn utility trousers with a knitted tank and an oversized blazer. To complete the 90’s vibes, we’ve added chunky trainers, a chic messenger bag and a pair of seriously cool sunglasses.
